CME and Solar Power: Rhode Island Convention Center

New Jobs and Tax Revenues; Revitalizing a Local Economy

CME has made a full commitment to the development of solar energy projects both in the US and abroad. Solar technology is improving and pricing is becoming more economic to the point we believe that there are many applications, even in the Northern latitudes in which solar can be a valuable source of environmentally and economically prudent energy supply.

We can see that environmentally minded utilities, businesses schools and communities are becoming more and more interested in having solar generated energy as a source which expands our potential market.

Certainly the reduction of carbon output, fuel pricing volatility and transportation issues are positively impacted by increasing use of solar energy for both electrify and thermal usage.

As a first step, CME and its Joint development partner Cornerstone Power Development have received Notice to Proceed on the study of a solar application from the Rhode Island Convention center Authority.

NEWS December 2010: The study was completed during the fourth quarter of 2010.

In addition, CME is developing projects in Ohio and confidential locations in New England, North Africa and Latin America.

CME and Cornerstone Power Development of Chicago Illinois have agreed to Joint venture on additional projects and news will be noted on the web-site as each project progresses.
