Massachusetts Institute of Technology
CME Energy worked with its subcontractor, RW Beck, to evaluate the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s cogeneration facility’s technical and operational issues and to correct interface problems with Cambridge Electric. CME Energy and RW Beck were able to successfully resolve all technical, operational and interface difficulties.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology designed and built a gas-fired, single cycle cogeneration facility to provide electricity and steam to its campus and research entities, as well as sell excess electricity to an adjacent public utility. MIT hired CME Energy to evaluate the facility on all technical and operational issues and to correct interface problems with Cambridge Electric.
In order to properly assess the facility and its matters, CME Energy and RW Beck created the evaluation framework and solutions that led to greater operation efficiency, accurate metering, seamless billing procedure and greater run time. The technical interface difficulties were successfully resolved.
