The Forbes Street Solar Project II is nearly a duplicate project to phase I also capable of generating 3 MW on the retired landfill in East Providence, Rhode Island. Developed by CME Energy and Hecate Energy, Forbes Street Solar Project II is expected to produce approximately 5,350 megawatt-hours of electricity annually, enough energy to serve nearly 500 Rhode Island households with its 12,296 ground-mounted solar panels. On November 29, 2018, the ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the solar project coincided with the initial injection of electricity into the grid. Under a 20-year PPA with National Grid, the solar plant will provide electricity to customers of Narragansett Electric Co., a subsidiary of National Grid.

Forbes Street Solar Project II was recently recognized by Grow Smart Rhode Island as an outstanding Smart Growth Project, which described the project as "an excellent example of reusing developed and disturbed sites for renewable energy, while avoiding the loss of RI's natural resources." The first Forbes Street Solar project received the 2015 Rhode Island Clean Energy Future Award and was named the best renewable project in the state.
