Public hearing set for proposed power plant in Oregon

The public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 20 in Oregon City Council chambers, 5330 Seaman Rd., Oregon.
According to an OPSB news release, the proposed 955- megawatt, natural gas-fired facility would be fueled by natural gas from one or more pipelines and interconnected to adjacent 138 and 345-kilovolt transmission lines. Clean Energy Future-Oregon proposes to start the project in early 2018 and begin commercial operation in 2020.
